The company has a 70 year old tradition in the production and development of machine tools.  The company has been awarded many appraisals for technical contributions in the development of machine tools in the Czech Republic. With its production assortment it is mainly oriented towards sub-suppliers for the automotive, energy, aviation and engineering industries. KOVOSVIT MAS offers its clients a comprehensive service, individual solutions, flexibility, top-quality products and the respective service.

Company History

In the year 1939 began the production of machine tools in MAS and in the abbreviate time was established compact offer of the basic assortment of machine tools. These machines served mainly to the coverage of requirements the Bata’s concern for the shoe manufacture. Finally they began to sell outside of the concern and the export sale became to be the key activity of the MAS Company. It went about two types of products – drilling machines and turret lathes on the beginning of the machine production. In the years after the war continued the next development of products, which guaranteed the successfully activity on markets of machine tools – it went about drilling machine VR4 and turret lathe R5. During subsequent years succeeded to develop and successfully place many types of machine tools on the market, whose conception fulfill the most modern requirements for the accuracy and reliability. In the sphere of drilling and milling machines goes about machines VKW 100, MCV 32, MCV 1000 HSC, on which continues one of the most modern machine MCU 630V – 5X for continual machining in five axes. KOVOSVIT has historical very strong background in the category of turning machines and machines are e.g. turret lathe R5, semiautomatic lathe SPT 16 or patent conception of the machine MCSY 80 – it is the machine, which combined the milling and lathe operations. This machine is predecessor of machines from the category multifunction machines for lathe-turning and milling operations as is the MULTICUT 500 S from the present production of KOVOSVIT MAS.

Present-day production of KOVOSVIT MAS connects on longlife experiences with the production or construction of machine tools and is for his customers the guarantee of the reliability.

Certificates

With the achievement of the Quality System Control Certificate ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 in November 2006, our company proved the correct method of starting.  We understand the whole Quality Control System as a tool for the permanent improvement of all processes in our company.  By setting standards according to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 we can better manage the business activities of the company, in particular during tenders where this certificate is most often required.
