CAST PIECES 

• Metallurgical production is an independent division of KOVOSVIT MAS, a.s. Sezimovo Ústí. More than 50 years in business in the field of grey iron castings production, including their machining, rate the company among the first-rate foundries in the Czech Republic. Since 2000, the foundry has extended its production range to the production of castings with spheroidal graphite.
• With increased demands for quantity, complexity, accuracy and quality of castings, the foundry went recently through wide reconstruction. The result of this reconstruction is modernization of all foundry operations. New technologies, based on self-hardening mixtures - furans, have been applied at production of middle and heavy sized castings. By installation of a new automatic moulding line, substantial increase of productivity and small castings production quality has been reached.
  Castings production focuses mainly on engineering companies making machinery and equipment for the field of machine tools and forming machines, agricultural machines, textile machines and castings for the automotive industry. Current minimal yearly production capacity is 11.000 tons of castings in a weight range from 0.5 to 9.500 kg for grey iron castings and up to 4.000 kg for iron castings with spheroidal graphite.
• The casting making is split into three individual mould shops.
  The machinery mould shop is equipped with a new Künkel- Wagner automatic line and uses the advanced technology AIRPRESS+2000. Raw moulding is made into bentonite-bonded sand, patterns are mounted on mould plates. Output capacity per year: 4 - 6.000 tons of castings in a weight range from 0,5 to 80 kg.
  The medium sized mould shop is equipped with nines line, patterns are mounted on coordinates plates. Moulds and cores are made of self-hardening mixtures - furans, castings in a weight range from 80 to 1.800 kg.
  The heavy mould shop produces hand castings on free patterns. Moulds and cores are made of self-hardening mixtures, castings in a weight range from 500 to 9.500 kg.
  The foundry guarantees sticking to chemical and physical properties of cast materials and to customers' request provides certificates and metal-graphic analyses. To be able to ensure quality, the foundry has implemented a quality management and control system from raw material input through production up to final output of castings. It can provide a chemical analysis by means of spectrometer GDS - 400, tensile strength, temper and metallurgical analysis.

In future, the main objective of the foundry is making products in required quality by sticking to agreed date of deliveries, cutting production costs and making contracts with mutually advantageous price relations for both sides.

MODELS

To the foundry belongs a pattern shop that is able to fill business partners' needs as to required date of deliveries and material execution. The pattern shop makes patterns in wood, synthetic resin, metal and their combination.
